i cant understand how people with high level injury can enjoy skiing, just to get into all those clothes and get completley setup would take hours by the time your ready , will probably be nackered, this is 1 of the main reasons i dont feel to struck on it, i also suffer from the cold alot, so this is also another reason stops me. in my heart i really wanna do this but dont want all the fustration, and annoyance. any advice to push me to try and do it. can u get some sort of heated suit. if so links etc much appreciated.

Stchy. Perhaps you should try something else, back up do other things.  Think you should contact them and see what they can offer.   Andy likes the skiing very much  and his videos make it look really good.  Think you must take the bull by the horns and  try something.

Know that this may be late, but here goes.

I have just completed a BackUp course at their Exmoor location. It was a great success; I can recommend it. There was no skiing on this, but many activities aside from wheel chair skills. I had never ridden buggy behind a horse, zip wired or wall climbed before, but found them enjoyable and exhilarating.

Give it a whirl!

I can undertand how you feel. They did not have all the charities back in the late 80s when I was injured that they do now. However, I simply dont feel comfortable being part of a crowd. I prefer to deal with things on my own. These days I prefer more sedentary things. I was never much of a sportsman anyway even prior to injury.

I agree. I am a C5/C6 quad. Skiing would be a big hassle for me. I don't even know how they would get me on a ski-lift. I leave skiing up to the paras.
